Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg. His musical genius was discovered in childhood and intensively nurtured by his father.
While the young Mozart lived in Salzburg, he composed several pieces and entire singspiels, which he performed in Vienna, Italy, and his birthplace. Even at the age of six, Wolfgang Amadeus was celebrated as a child prodigy by Europe's high nobility.
In the years 1771-1781, Mozart initially worked as concertmaster and later as court organist for the Archbishop of Salzburg.
Mozart in Vienna (1781 – 1791)
After great success with his opera Idomeneo in Munich, Mozart was summoned to Vienna by his employer, Archbishop Colloredo. He was just 25 years old.
On March 17, 1781, Mozart arrived by stagecoach in German Order House on. On the same day he gave his first concert in the Sala TerrenaMozart reported in a letter to his father:
"We already had music at 4 o'clock, there were certainly 20 people there, but of the greatest nobility."
After a heated argument with his patron Colloredo, Mozart left the service and subsequently worked as an independent artist and teacher.
Mozart lived in Vienna for 10 years and died in 1791 in his apartment in Rauhensteingasse.
